I grew up on a farm in Kansas. I received my bachelor’s of science degree in Biology from Kansas State University. I then worked as a case worker finding permanency or forever families for the neglected and abused children of Kansas. Soon after, I attended nursing school at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. I am now practicing nursing here in Denver, Colorado.
I became involved with Uganda N.O.W. Outreach in 2010 when the McVeys reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in helping in the medical and dental clinic in Makindu and Busagazi that year! While helping in the clinic next door to the school in Makindu, the children of Makindu and Busagazi stole my heart. I knew this organization was something I wanted to be apart of for years to come.
